Friday, August 9th

I woke up at 5:30 this morning, and I started my day with a fresh apple, a banana, and a Starbucks matcha latte. I went to NCC later on, and I took the English classes until lunch time. I had a lot of fun playing a short game and quizzes.

At lunch time, I really enjoyed chatting with my buddy and her friends while walking around the school to see some students perform with their Mario costumes. It was a pleasure to be closer to them compared to my first day meeting them, and I can’t wait to see them again next week!

After school, Rosa and I went to the tennis court together with our host family, and watched our host family’s oldest sister take her lessons.

After that, we went back home and had a really nice pizza for dinner. We ate an ice cream together for dessert while watching the Olympics, and I had a great time talking to them. 

Maybe it sounds like a normal day, but for me, it was a memorable day because I am really happy that I was able to spend precious time with my host family and also with my buddy + my buddy’s friends. 

It was a wonderful day :)

We had toast and cereal for breakfast. After that, we headed to the school to learn English for signs from Ms. Michelle. Listening was difficult!

During our lunch break, I talked about Japan with my buddy, Oscar. Afternoon classes included a study of Christianity. It was very interesting and gave me new interpretations.

The math class was in a computer-based competition format.

After I went home, I went to space in VR.

Then we watched a movie that the host sisters liked. The host father is an architect and an expert in acoustics, so the sound is very powerful!

  Today was my first day studying abroad in Australia.  First, we went to Mount Cootha. The scenery was very beautiful and there was more nature than in Tokyo. Second, we went to the University of Queensland. I was surprised because the university was very large compared to Japan. Third, we went to South Bank. I played table tennis with my friends. My host family walked with me around their house and showed me about the burds and the park. I had a great time today and I try my best to use English better tomorrow! Wednesday, August 14th

It was raining very hard today and it was hard to go to school . In the morning, I learned about the animals at the Australian Zoo and learned more about Australian animals in general. In the afternoon, we had planned to play sports outside, but since it was raining, we decide to do our presentations instead . It was a little disappointing , but I did get a sense of accomplishment. When I got home, I mades miso soup and it was very delicious. At that time, I started to miss Japanese food a little Lastly, I played with the bird my host family keeps  and went to sleep.
