Saturday, August 10th

Today was my first weekend in Australia. I was very excited !! 

Last night we did a bbq with my host dad’s friend in the house and they stayed home so this morning we went to Marcoola beach with Chewy and Nick. We had a walk on the beach. We had fun collecting beautiful shells and playing with dogs. 

After that, we went to Montville to have lunch. We were planning to have a meat pie but the shop was closed so we decided to eat fish and chips. Then we went to a toy shop and we bought two toys. Last, we went to a chocolate shop and I bought some souvenirs for my family. 

After that, we went to Kondalilla Falls. It was very clear in the sky and it was quiet. We put our legs inside the water but it was too cold for me to swim but there were people swimming there. 

When I came home we made pizza together and I really liked putting pineapple on pizza. It was really fulfilling day

Today was my first holiday in Australia. 

Unlike Japan there is no school on Saturday so we could to sleep more time. It was also good.

In the morning, I went to the supermarket “Coles”. There were many kinds of yogurt and sweets. I was surprised that the cash register was more efficient than Japan.

In the afternoon, I went to see Abi’s netball game. Abi’s team was lost, but I enjoyed it very much. 

At home, I ate tacos and ice cream for dinner. It was delicious. I am very tired. So I’m going to bed early today. I think it was good day.

  Today was my first day studying abroad in Australia.  First, we went to Mount Cootha. The scenery was very beautiful and there was more nature than in Tokyo. Second, we went to the University of Queensland. I was surprised because the university was very large compared to Japan. Third, we went to South Bank. I played table tennis with my friends. My host family walked with me around their house and showed me about the burds and the park. I had a great time today and I try my best to use English better tomorrow! E.S (girl)     Today, I departed Narita airport feeling nervous and excited at the same time. I waved Grandma good bye. She wished me luck on the trip and parted ways.  When I was on the airplane I was watching a horror movie which freaked me out a little and then I took a deep sleep for four hours after eating steak on the airplane. Wednesday, August 14th

It was raining very hard today and it was hard to go to school . In the morning, I learned about the animals at the Australian Zoo and learned more about Australian animals in general. In the afternoon, we had planned to play sports outside, but since it was raining, we decide to do our presentations instead . It was a little disappointing , but I did get a sense of accomplishment. When I got home, I mades miso soup and it was very delicious. At that time, I started to miss Japanese food a little Lastly, I played with the bird my host family keeps  and went to sleep.
